Okinawa Prefecture presents “Invest in Okinawa – Gateway to Japan” seminar for companies in Singapore that are interested in doing business in Japan and using Okinawa as a base to advance into the Japanese market. Okinawa is most famous as a resort destination in Japan, but also has drawn a great deal of attention for its great business environment such as Japan’s only special economic zone which offer tax preferential treatment for targeted business and substantial support for strategic industries. Okinawa has strongly promoted its IT industry over a decade and established a Cloud infrastructure. Okinawa and Singapore are connected to a submarine cable (※) with high-speed, large volume and low cost which is the most direct route to Tokyo. And we have cloud data centers that are connected with respective major bases in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan by high speed optical lines that are cheaper and seamless, and we offer a risk dispersion function such as backups to these centers for domestic and overseas data.
